Rockefeller Award Winner Interview
On April 6, 1980, Elizabeth (Lisa) Cobbs won the John D. Rockefeller International Youth Award, given to one person annually worldwide, for her work as a community organizer in California on behalf of youth and women’s rights. Previous winners included individuals from Columbia, Kenya, Thailand, and the United States. This interview on the NBC "Today Show" with Jane Pauley shows the author at age 23.
